Fire Door Inspection Services

 Fire door inspection is required annually per NFPA-80, which specifies that fire rated doors be tested for functionality and that a written record of the inspection be kept on file for the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction). Additionally, inspection is necessary after initial installation and performed maintenance.

Alliance Life Safety Services 

will provide a detailed inspection report per the 13 points of inspection as outlined by the NFPA.  This will include:

~ The type & description of each tested & inspected fire door assembly.

~ Verification of visual inspection and functional operation.

~ Listing of deficiencies in accordance with 5.2.3, Section 5.3, & Sec. 5.4

~  Recommended corrective action to achieve compliance.

Fire doors that are determined to have deficiencies need to be serviced to meet code as set forth in NPFA-80.  Many doors just need some general maintenance to be brought back up to code quickly for safety and compliance.  Some organizations have maintenance staff qualified to perform these repairs. If not, our team is happy to assist with door maintenance to provide a clear Annual Door Inspection Report.
